(COVID-19).

The number of Corona Virus (Covid-19) positive cases is again increasing rapidly, therefore, in order to reduce the possibility of its further spread. the following steps/measures shall be taken forthwith: in light of the directions issued by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) on 22.3.2021


Cases of urgent nature for AD&S must be preferred which include: • Hearing of pre/post-arrest hall • Habeas corpus petitions • Application under section 22-A. 22-B Cr. P.C • Miscellaneous applications • Revision Petitions • Cases at final arguments • Old cases instituted before 31.12.2017

Cases of civil nature must be preferred which include: • Suit for declaration (relating to legal heirs only)

Civil cases in which the statement of the last one or two witnesses is to

be recorded • Stay applications

Miscellaneous applications • Rent petitions • family cases • Cases at final arguments

Old cases instituted before 31.12.2017

District & Sessions Judges shall convene a meeting of the Bar president and Central Secretaries to discuss and apprise them of these measures. All the staff present in courts shall wear masks.

keep close liaison with District Administration for taking necessary measures and vaccinating all the Judicial Officers and court staff. The Magistrates shall ensure attendance of the accused in the jail premises in which the trial has not yet commenced or where proceedings are not being conducted. In this respect, all the District & Sessions Judges shall nominate and manage the visit of Magistrates in the concerned jails.
