Punjab Public Service commission’s conduct exam of PMS and of different categories, the exam is conducted every year to fill the various seats lying vacant in the provincial departments. These exams are conducted once a year for Provincial management and at different times for other posts.

Jobs are advertised in newspapers like Daily Jang, Nawa-e-Waqt, dawn, news, express and on social media and on public service commission website and government job portal. Every province has its own provincial management.

Difference of PMS and PCs:

PMs Stands for provincial civil service and PCS for provincial management service. Both exams are conducted by the provincial service commission every year and after advertisement, a  comprehensive competitive exam held, and then passing candidate after interview declared eligible to serve the provincial government on regular basis after training on different departments according to the requirements to serve the provincial government.

Basic structure of each department is same and starts from chief secretary to downward up to lower staff but we will focus on the structure from chief secretary to section officer which appointed directly by the exam taken for this post (competitive exam held by the service commission of each province.

  Challan Form:

Challan 32-A is used to submit the required fee in the account of the Authority.

Department Permission:

In case of regular job in any government department, the candidate has to provide a departmental no objection certificate.

Experience Letter:

In case of any experience in any department or in case of  

Any additional skill candidate provides the relevant documents if required.

Qualification: Graduate (Second Division) from a recognized university

Age Requirements:

21 to 30 years on ist January of the applying year and in case of the government serving employee that is an employee of federal or provincial government from four year then such candidates are eligible for concession of 5 years and for the special personage relaxation is up to 10 years.

Note: Age relaxation will be not allowed in the PMS exam.

Age Cutoff date:

The cutoff date for age determination shall be 1st January of applying year.

Gender: Male, Female, Shemale.

Domicile: Punjab

Place of Posting: Anywhere in Punjab

Passing Criteria:

Minimum 40% in each paper and 50% aggregate marks.

Instruction:

1. Candidates with original national identity cards will be allowed to appear in the exam.

2. Change of center is not allowed.

FAQ:

Q. Female can apply at the address of her husband for the job?

Ans. Yes if she surrendered her domicile of their district them she can apply at the address of her husband.

 Q. if a candidate has relevant experience from the private sector than can he claim it?

Ans. No, experience considered only if gain by government service.

Q.Research experience of M.Phil. Or Ph.D. is countable?

Ans. Yes, maximum two years for M.Phil. and four years of Ph.D.

Q. Research paper submitted after the due date is considered?

NO

Q... can, I change any information after submitting the application form?

Ans. Only by The written request to the secretary within three days after the closing date.

Q. what is negative marking?

Ans. Applicable in specific cases but not in all.

Fee Deposit Procedure:

Fee is deposited online in 32-A challan in specific account head mentioned in every advertisement.

Q. I have an expired ID card .what’s the solution?

You will be provisionally allowed but within the given time, you have to provide.

q> special or disable person can claim for writer or helper?

Q. to gain the facility of writer or helper, it’s necessary to file Witten application to the secretary before three days of the exam date.

Q. What will be the qualification of writer or helper?

Ans. one step lower to the candidate.

Q. What is the formula for shortlisting?

Ans. On the basis of the obtained marks and academic record.

Q. Who many the candidate will be called for an interview if the advertisement was only for one seat

Ans. Top five candidates will be called for an interview against one seat.

Q.        What happens if the number of seats increased after submission of the application or after the last date?

Q. in such circumstances, jobs will be re-advertised.

Q. How many chances a candidate can avail for a specific exam?

 Ans. Three chances.

Schedule of Exam:

No specific date or time is mentioned but normally for competitive exam is once in a year and for rest according to the requirements of the concerned department.
